Terms of Service

By scheduling a Complimentary Academic Pathway Session, you agree to complete the required intake details prior to your meeting time. These 30-minute sessions are designed as diagnostic assessments to evaluate applicant goals, discuss strategy, and determine mutual fit for our advising programs.

Complimentary Academic Pathway Sessions are conducted exclusively via Zoom. A calendar invite containing the Zoom link will be sent upon confirmation of your scheduled time. Participants are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection and a functioning device capable of video conferencing.

To maximize the value of the session, we strongly recommend that any relevant decision-makers — including parents or guardians — be present for the call. DRH Academic Pathways is not responsible for outcomes resulting from the absence of key decision-makers during the session.

These sessions are offered at no charge and do not constitute a binding service agreement. Participation in a Complimentary Academic Pathway Session does not obligate either party to enter into a paid consulting relationship.

Scheduling is subject to availability. DRH Academic Pathways will confirm your requested time within 24 hours of submission. A confirmed session is considered reserved once you receive a calendar invite from our team.

Rescheduling windows and associated fees differ by session type. For complimentary sessions, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance; rescheduling requests received with less than 24 hours' notice may result in forfeiture of the complimentary slot. For paid consulting sessions, the following cancellation and rescheduling fees apply: cancellations or reschedules made 48 or more hours before the session incur no fee; cancellations or reschedules made between 24 and 48 hours before the session incur a $50 late-reschedule fee; cancellations or reschedules made less than 24 hours before the session incur a $100 fee and the session credit is forfeited. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests, but availability cannot be guaranteed.

If a participant does not attend a confirmed complimentary session and does not provide advance notice, the session will be marked as a no-show. No fee will be assessed for no-shows on complimentary sessions; however, repeated no-shows may result in the inability to schedule future complimentary sessions.

For paid consulting sessions, a no-show — defined as failure to attend a confirmed session without prior notice — results in a $100 no-show fee and forfeiture of the session credit. The $100 fee will be invoiced separately and is due upon receipt. Session credits forfeited due to a no-show are not eligible for reinstatement.

Information shared during a Complimentary Academic Pathway Session — including academic background, target programs, application timeline, and personal goals — is treated as confidential and used solely for the purpose of providing strategic guidance during and after the session.

DRH Academic Pathways does not share, sell, or distribute personal information provided through the intake form or during the session to any third parties, except as required by law.

Session notes and intake details may be retained internally to support continuity of advising if the participant subsequently enrolls in a paid consulting program.

The Complimentary Academic Pathway Session is an introductory diagnostic consultation. Guidance provided during the session is based on the information shared by the participant and the professional judgment of the consultant at the time of the session.

DRH Academic Pathways does not guarantee admission to any academic program as a result of advice provided during a complimentary session or any subsequent paid engagement. Admissions outcomes depend on a wide range of variables outside the control of the consultant, including institutional quotas, applicant pool competitiveness, and independent admissions committee decisions.

All participants are expected to engage in a professional and respectful manner during the session. DRH Academic Pathways reserves the right to terminate a session immediately, without notice, if a participant engages in abusive, threatening, or otherwise unprofessional conduct toward the consultant or any staff member.

Session Recording Policy: DRH Academic Pathways may record Zoom sessions for quality assurance, internal training, and continuity of advising. By scheduling and attending a session, you consent to such recording. Recordings are the sole property of DRH Academic Pathways and may not be shared, reproduced, screen-captured, or redistributed by participants in any form. It is strictly prohibited for participants to independently audio-record, video-record, or capture screenshots of any session or session recording without the express written consent of DRH Academic Pathways. Violation of this prohibition constitutes a material breach of this agreement and may result in immediate termination of services without refund. Recordings, when made available to clients through the portal, are accessible for a limited period only and may be removed at any time. DRH Academic Pathways does not guarantee the availability, quality, or completeness of any session recording, as technical issues, platform limitations, or unforeseen circumstances may affect access. DRH Academic Pathways is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from the unavailability or degradation of a recording.

Official Communication Channels: All scheduling requests and formal notices must be submitted via email or the official DRH client portal. Messages sent via SMS or social media will not be monitored for official notice requirements.

Governing Law & General Provisions: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, severe technology network outages, or government actions.

Consumer Rights Savings Clause: Nothing in this Agreement waives or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived under federal, state, or local consumer-protection law, payment-card rules, privacy law, or other applicable law. If applicable law requires a specific cancellation notice, cooling-off period, venue, refund right, or other consumer protection, that required protection will apply notwithstanding any inconsistent term in this Agreement.

Privacy: Information shared during a session is handled in accordance with the DRH Academic Pathways Privacy Policy. DRH Academic Pathways does not sell, rent, or distribute personal information to third parties.
