Personal Statement One-Time Review

The Personal Statement One-Time Review is a standalone written feedback service. Upon receipt of your submitted draft, DRH Academic Pathways will provide a single, comprehensive written critique of your personal statement.

Feedback covers: narrative structure and flow, clarity and coherence of your central theme, strength and specificity of your "why medicine" or "why this field" framing, tone and voice, and general strategic positioning relative to admissions standards.

This service does NOT include: live or real-time consulting sessions of any kind; full line editing, copy editing, or proofreading for grammar and mechanics; rewriting or ghostwriting any portion of your statement; unlimited revision rounds; school-specific tailoring for individual programs; or any follow-up feedback beyond the single written review delivered.

DRH Academic Pathways provides advisory feedback only. The final personal statement remains entirely the work and responsibility of the client. We do not write, substantially rewrite, or co-author any portion of your application materials.

Delivery Timeline: Written feedback will be delivered within two (2) business days of the date on which your personal statement draft is successfully uploaded through the client portal. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

Submission Requirements: Your draft must be submitted as a single document (PDF or Word format) through the designated upload portal. Submissions via email, third-party file-sharing links, or any channel other than the portal will not be accepted and will not trigger the delivery timeline.

Draft Completeness: The two (2) business day timeline begins only upon receipt of a complete, readable draft. Incomplete submissions, corrupted files, or documents requiring reformatting will be returned with a request to resubmit. The delivery clock restarts upon receipt of the corrected submission.

Feedback Delivery: Written feedback will be delivered to your portal inbox and to the email address on file. It is your responsibility to ensure your contact information is accurate and that portal notifications are not filtered to spam.

Single Submission Window: This service covers one (1) personal statement draft per purchase. If you wish to receive feedback on a revised draft or a second statement, a new purchase is required.

Service Fee: The Personal Statement One-Time Review is priced at $200.00 USD, payable in full at the time of purchase via the secure checkout portal.

Non-Refundable: ALL PAYMENTS FOR THE PERSONAL STATEMENT ONE-TIME REVIEW ARE STRICTLY NON-REFUNDABLE. Once payment is processed, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to: failure to submit a draft within any particular timeframe; dissatisfaction with the written feedback provided; withdrawal from the application cycle; change of mind after purchase; or technical difficulties on the client's end that prevent document upload.

No Cancellation Window: Unlike session-based consulting packages, this service does not carry a pre-service cancellation window. The $200.00 fee is earned upon purchase and is not subject to any refund, credit, or chargeback outside of a confirmed billing error or unauthorized transaction.

Billing Disputes: If you believe a charge was made in error or without authorization, you must contact DRH Academic Pathways at [email protected] within five (5) business days of the transaction date before initiating any dispute with your financial institution. Chargebacks initiated without prior written notice to DRH Academic Pathways will be contested.

Active Window: Following purchase, you have ninety (90) calendar days to upload your personal statement draft and activate the review. If no draft is submitted within 90 days of purchase, the service expires and no refund or credit will be issued.

No Extensions: The 90-day submission window is firm. DRH Academic Pathways does not grant extensions based on application cycle timing, personal circumstances, or delays in draft preparation.

Expiration Notice: DRH Academic Pathways is not obligated to send reminder notices prior to service expiration. It is the client's sole responsibility to track the submission deadline.

Client Ownership: Your personal statement draft and all content therein remain your sole intellectual property. DRH Academic Pathways does not claim any ownership interest in your application materials.

Feedback Ownership: The written feedback, commentary, and strategic notes delivered by DRH Academic Pathways are proprietary advisory work product. You may use the feedback to revise your own statement, but you may not reproduce, distribute, publish, or share the feedback document in any form without prior written consent.

Confidentiality: DRH Academic Pathways treats all submitted materials and personal information as strictly confidential. Your draft and feedback will not be shared with third parties except as required by law or with your explicit written consent.

No AI Submission: Submission of a draft that was substantially generated by artificial intelligence tools (including but not limited to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) is prohibited. DRH Academic Pathways reserves the right to decline feedback on AI-generated content and will not issue a refund in such cases.

Advisory Service Only: DRH Academic Pathways provides expert advisory feedback based on professional experience with medical and undergraduate admissions. This feedback does not guarantee admission to any program, school, or institution.

Limitation of Liability: DRH Academic Pathways shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the written feedback provided, including but not limited to rejection from any academic program. Total liability under this Agreement shall not exceed the $200.00 service fee paid.

Independent Decision-Making: All decisions regarding the content, framing, and submission of your personal statement remain entirely your own. DRH Academic Pathways is an advisor, not a co-author or guarantor of outcomes.

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Wayne County, Michigan, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorneys' fees and costs.

You agree that any claim must be brought in your individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class action or representative proceeding.
